”Summit” is a white and orange male with ticking on his legs and back. He is a direct son of our dog Gil, and is a paternal grandson of 2xNAFC/FC/AFC Maxwell’s Blew By You II. His dam, Penny, was linebred on Brittany Field Trial Hall of Famer DC/AFC Bourbon XIII and is a half-sister to GFC FC GCH DC AFC TNT's Raise'N A Ruckus and to AFC Stillhunters Covert Affair.
True to his name, Summit always ends up on top! He was the High Point Dog in the Hunter Pointer Division of the 2024 Gun Dog Challenge at the Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club. Summit took home firsts in their Upper Midwest Chukar Shootout, Paul Bunyan Invitational, Clash of Chukars, and Open tournaments. He also won Open Singles Pointer in the 2025 Gopher State Chukar Challenge. Summit competes effectively against pointers of all breeds, is a proven sire. He is CHIC certified: his hips, elbows, and eyes are certified OFA normal.

Gil is now retired from breeding. He sired 20 litters between 2017 and 2024. He is a direct son of 2X NAFC FC AFC Maxwell’s Blew By You II, one of only a handful of two-time National Amateur Field Champions in breed history. Gil is a 20.5”, 44 lb liver roan Brittany with a “12 o’clock” tail. He loves water, delivers to hand and has multiple AKC all-breed field trial placements and hunt test passes. He has tremendous stamina and heat tolerance and a long-range nose. He has been hunted extensively on wild prairie chickens, sharp-tailed grouse, sage grouse and pheasants. He served as a professional guide dog on the largest quail ranch in America. His hips are OFA Good and his eyes are OFA normal.

Hooch is an uncle to Gil. I formerly co-owned him with Don & Wendy McNabb of Church Hill, Tennessee. Hooch won the Minnesota Brittany Club’s Field Dog of the Year Award and finished among the top 40 field trial Brittanys nationally, after qualifying and competing in the American Brittany Club’s National All-Age Championships.
